Frequently asked questions about The Whiskey Wagon

Because The Whiskey Wagon is such a unique party bus- we are often asked some unique questions. Below are some of the most common, but feel free to email or call if you don’t see your question below. Thanks!

General Info FAQ’s:

What areas does the bus service?

We service all cities within the Metro Detroit area. This includes Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. We also service additional counties at an additional fuel surcharge.

Do I need to tip the driver?

While we don’t require riders to tip the driver, we strongly encourage it. The majority of the driver’s income comes from tips so we ask our riders to compensate them for making sure the riders have an amazing, safe experience.

Can I bring or drink alcohol on the bus?

Absolutely! We encourage riders to pack a cooler full of their favorite beverages!

Can I bring food on the bus?

Riders can bring food on the bus as long as it can fit in a cooler and is not too messy.

Is alcohol included with the bus rental?

Generally, no. We can, however, supply specific alcoholic beverages for the reservation if it is requested during the booking process. There will be a charge for this additional add-on.

Can we make additional stops while in route to our destination?

Additional stops not listed before the beginning of the reservation will be at the discretion of the bus driver. We will try our best to accommodate additional stops but we are not obligated to fulfill the request.

What if my party is late getting back to our drop off location?

We allow a grace period of 29 minutes over the scheduled booking time. At 30 minutes over the allotted time, the credit card on file will be charged for another hour.

What happens if my party exceeds the allotted amount of time for our booking?

As long as we don’t have another party booked after yours, we can extend the reservation at the original hourly rate.

How much does it cost to book the bus?

Our rates can occasionally change based on holidays. Our average rate is $225/hr for most bookings.

How do I book a reservation?

We offer a stress free, streamline booking process through our website or calling us direct.

Do you offer overnight trips or weekend getaways?

Most of our reservations will be single day trips. We do offer extended, overnight trips which can be discussed by speaking with us directly.

Do you offer out of state trips?

No. We are only licensed and legally allowed to operate within the State of Michigan at this point in time.

Is there a minimum number of hours to book?

There is a 4 hour minimum for booking.

Is there a maximum number of hours to book?

Nope! We offer riders any amount of time they desire.

Bus Info FAQ’s:

How many passengers can the bus fit?

25 passengers comfortably.

Is there a bathroom on the bus?

Yes! The Whiskey Wagon has a fully functional bathroom for our rider’s convenience.

Can I play my own music on the bus?

Yes! We will designate one person as the “DJ” for the duration of the ride. The DJ will link into our stereo system via Bluetooth and be in charge of the music selection for the evening.

Is the bus driver qualified to drive a bus?

Yes. Our drivers have a minimum of a CDL-B with a passenger designation and air brake certified per Michigan law.

Is the bus insured?

Absolutely. The bus is insured according to the State of Michigan’s regulated policy of $5,000,000. The bus has also been inspected by MDOT and is authorized for “hired service” in the State of Michigan. This can be verified through the State of Michigan bus and limo website.

Is the bus cleaned regularly?

Absolutely! We maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, using antimicrobial hospital grade cleaners.

What happens if my party damages the bus?

The cardholder on the reservation will be liable for any and all damages that occur during the duration of the reservation. A summary of charges are included in the “reservation contract”.
